Privacy Policy

We collect the following, depending on how you use the Service:

• Account information — your email address, name, and username. If you sign up with email and password, we store a securely hashed password (we never store it in plain text). If you sign in with Google, we receive basic profile information from Google.
• Profile content — an optional profile picture and course banner images you upload, which are stored on Cloudflare R2.
• Activity — the challenges, answers, and courses you create; your votes, completions, and reputation; and purchases you make.
• Technical data — session cookies needed to keep you signed in, and standard server logs.

We use your information to provide and operate the Service, authenticate you, process course purchases and creator payouts, display your public profile and contributions, communicate with you (such as verification and one-time sign-in codes), maintain security, and comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information. We share it with the following processors strictly to operate the Service:

• Stripe — payment processing and creator payouts via Stripe Connect. Stripe receives the information needed to process a transaction. We do not store your full payment-card numbers; Stripe handles that directly.
• Resend — sending transactional email such as verification and sign-in codes.
• Cloudflare R2 — storage and delivery of images you upload (avatars and course banners).
• Google — only if you choose to sign in with Google (OAuth).
• Our hosting and database providers — to run the application and store your data.

We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users or the Service.

Your username, profile picture, reputation, and the challenges, answers, and courses you publish are visible to other users. Please keep this in mind when deciding what to share.

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Records related to purchases may be retained as required for tax and accounting purposes.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. To make a request, contact support@pocketchallenger.com. We will respond as required by applicable law.

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

We and our service providers may process your information in the United States and other countries. By using the Service, you understand that your information may be transferred to locations that may have different data-protection rules than your jurisdiction.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date above when we do. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
